Montecristo Short

The Montecristo Shorts are the well-known short format. The short cigars are as short as a mini cigarillo, but have a larger diameter and therefore a more optimal aroma and flavor development.

The name Montecristo goes back, as you might expect, to the name of Alexandre Dumas' novel “The Count of Monte Cristo”. The torcedores at the H. Upmann manufactory are responsible for the name of the brand, which was launched in 1935, due to their fondness for the book.

Today, the legendary Montecristo cigars are the reference and standard by which many aficionados rate other Havana brands. This is mainly due to the very well-balanced blend of Montecristo's exquisite tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, home to the best tobacco varieties in the world.
